**The Company**:
We are pleased to be supporting a Global manufacturing business in their search for a Materials Planning Manager based at their site in the North East
**The Role**:
This role sits on the Senior Leadership team at site and is high profile within the wider organisation, in constant communication with the other UK sites. Some of the key responsibilities will be:

- Collaborating with the relevant teams to coordinate production plans for the facility, directing the material forecasts, to meet the facility plan and objectives while satisfying customer needs.
- Managing inventory and record accuracy through monitoring shortage and surplus exception, supplier follow ups, negative on-hands, and daily delivery performance.
- Focus on quality - managing engineering changes for the facility ensuring on time readiness from planning, supporting the customers’ change requirements.
- Establishes and nurtures supplier relationships, including identifying and implementing methods to assure suppliers are compliant or improving their scorecard performance - monitoring ASN and delivery performance.
**The Person**:

- Proven Supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
- In-depth understanding of supplier relationship management
- Data Oriented with the ability to analyse volumes of data and provide meaningful information to the wider team
- Strong knowledge of production scheduling and capacity management showing understanding of supply chain principles.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and coaching skills, strong people manager
