**The Person**:
We are looking for a Materials planner who has held a position of materials planner previously, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (ideally food)

**The Role Responsibilities**:

- Schedule and control the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum stock levels
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to the point of receipt/production.
- Assess volume requirements against planning assumption.
- Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries.
- Understand and manage risks to minimise the impact on production schedule.
- Take follow-up actions about material shortages that affect production.
- Actively contribute to the development and support of material planning processes benchmark against best practices and review ways to make continuous improvements.
- Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas of improvement.
- Involvement in the development and testing of Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) Ensure accurate data and processes are in place to drive the right requirements.
- Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy.
- Monitor and control inventory levels against agreed target levels.
- Minimise obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability.
- Work with Finance to develop NWC reporting with agreed inventory value targets.
- Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy.
- Create regular statistical reports and analysis and update others in the organisation.
- Lead/develop/mentor other Material team members
