This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join the Discovery Bioanalysis Team as a Senior Scientist on a 12 Month contract based in Cambridge.
The position is in within the Discovery Bioanalysis Europe Team which is part of Integrated Bioanalysis with the Clinical Pharmacology and Safety Sciences function and is responsible for the analysis of Monoclonal Antibody, Protein, and Cell & Gene Therapeutics,non-clinical safety biomarkers in biological and invitro samples generated in support of non GLP pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic and investigational safety studies.
The team has a diverse array of scientists working across many technologies to ensure delivery of critical assays and data analysis that drive go/no go decisions and ensure the right combination of medicines get to the right patient, in the right dose, at theright time.
Main Responsibilities
- Using a range of innovative analytical methodologies, you will work to develop novel methods for the quantitative measurement of therapeutics such as monoclonal antibodies, gene editing components, proteins and nucleotides and/or biomarkers.
- Representing the department on multidiscipline drug discovery teams spanning several different therapeutic modalities, utilising a range of technologies in the lab will be essential such as large molecule by ligand binding (e.g., MSD, Gyros), mRNA by PCR.
- Reporting into a Head of Discovery Bioanalysis EU and be expected to take a lead role in pushing the boundaries of what is possible for new modality therapeutics bioanalyses.

**Requirements**:

- A strong background in a Biological or Chemical related discipline with extensive experience of developing and qualification of methods for the quantitative measurement of biotherapeutics in biological samples (e.g., plasma and tissue) such as therapeuticproteins, monoclonal antibodies and biomarkers using technologies such as ligand binding.
- A high level of independence and with an ability to develop hypotheses and execute analysis plans for pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and biomarker data.
- Experience with data analysis tools for analysing and visualizing pharmacokinetic and biomarker data.
- Ability to utilise other technologies such as HPLC/MS, PCR and flow cytometry.
