We are looking for an inspirational individual to join the well-established, progressive Paramedic team at the University of Plymouth. Working within the team provides a unique opportunity to contribute to teaching, learning and research within the Paramedic Science degree (ranked 3rd in the complete university guide, league table for paramedic science).

As a lecturer at the University of Plymouth, you will deliver excellent teaching, contribute to the generation and transfer of knowledge through research, and provide support for our students.

You will be a registered professional with appropriate academic and/or professional experience, preferably from a paramedicine or nursing background, or other appropriate profession. You will have an in-depth understanding of contemporary emergency and urgent care provision and be committed to quality education and research.

You must currently be registered with the following registration board: Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC): excluding social workers in England.

You will value your own professional development and ideally hold, or be working towards a higher degree qualification.

Paramedicine at the University of Plymouth:
The School of Health Professions, University of Plymouth is delighted to offer this post to join the team to deliver this curriculum on one of the original BSc (Hons) Paramedic programmes in the UK.

The School of Health Professions is primarily situated at InterCity Place on the main University of Plymouth campus, in the city centre (next to the train station).

There is an essential requirement within this role that you will be required to travel to and work at different University sites and/or other business locations that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Please refer to the job description for further information.

You may be required to obtain an ATAS Certificate prior to any research being undertaken.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
