Job Introduction
We have a full time opportunity for a **Band 6** Team Sister to join our Community Nursing Team working from** Sheppey Community Hospital**. We run a seven day service, you will work between the hours of 8am-8pm on a shift pattern, working 1 out of 4 weekends and bank holidays being shared throughout the team.

You will work alongside our multidisciplinary team within the wider community, supporting patients to recover from or manage their illness and enable them to stay healthy and well for longer.
You will have your own team of Band 5 Nurses reporting to you, as well as other healthcare colleagues such as healthcare assistants and support workers.

Main Responsibilities
As a **Team Sister**, your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Providing caseload leadership and management that demonstrates quality, safety and productivity in line with commissioning intentions.
- Acting as a role model for the delivery of high standards of care that complies with NMC codes of conduct and Trust policies.
- Documenting all patient interventions contemporaneously onto electronic record ensuring accuracy and the inclusion of all appropriate assessments.
- Ensuring correct use of confidential and sensitive information in line with Caldicott.

You will be qualified to a degree level and hold a current **NMC registration,** ideally having experience in a variety of settings including hospital and community.
Preferably having first line management experience, keeping up to date with the clinical practice and current issues in nursing including legal and ethical issues.

Willingness to become an Independent Supplementary Prescriber (V300) and undertake physical examinations.

Holding a current full driving licence and having access to a vehicle is essential for this role as you will be based in the Community.
