As an Extrusion Technician you will be working as part of the production team to efficiently carry out the set-up, operating, trouble shooting and basic maintenance tasks associated with the running of multiple hot melt plastic cable extrusion lines. This role will work closely with Quality, Engineering and NPD teams to further develop processes and procedures and ensure quality and throughout targets are achieved. The Extrusion Technician reports directly to the Production Supervisor and is required on site. On offer is a salary in the range of £32k, depending on experience.

**You will make an impact in the following way**:

- Monitor and troubleshoot all aspects of our plastic cable extrusion process and utilise on-line quality control methods so that production schedules are adhered to efficiently
- Document changes, processes and procedures to optimise knowledge flow
- Monitor and report on Production KPIs and metrics to ensure targets are achieved
- Development and delivery of plastics processing training plans for production staff

**What you will bring**:

- Modern apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent in engineering, manufacturing, polymer science or other relevant discipline.
- Typically 5+ years working in a Plastics Extrusion Production environment or similar role.
- Good understanding of polymer behaviour throughout the full extrusion process
- Ability to analyse and resolve technical problems at root cause
