**The Role**:
As the equality, diversity and inclusion officer at PPA, you’ll aim to promote good relations and practices towards different minority groups within our staff and student body. This will involve the development, monitoring and review of policies and strategies designed to ensure staff engage with legislative duties ensuring a harmonious, forward thinking learning environment. You will be expected to work in collaboration with the Welfare Officer highlighting areas for improvement across the institution and making time to work with any student that needs specific inclusion support.
**Key Duties**:
- Provide advice, guidance and support on equality and diversity issues to staff and students
- Develop systems for reporting any incidents of discrimination
- Deal with conflict within the College community related specifically to equality and diversity
- Respond to complaints and provide information on options for complainants
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of anti-discriminatory legislation
- Translate equality legislation into practice to ensure PPA meets statutory requirements
- Present reports and recommendations surrounding equality and diversity
- Prepare and deliver presentations and workshops to staff and students
**General Duties**:
- To ensure professional and appropriate pastoral care is delivered at all times.
- To attend all staff meetings as required, internal or external.
- To participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) recognising opportunities to further industry knowledge within an HE environment.
- Use their best skills and endeavours to promote and carry on the business for the benefit of the company,and conduct himself in a proper and responsible manner;
- Comply with all legislation, regulations, professional standards and other provisions as may govern the conduct of the business or be determined by the Directors as standards to be voluntarily applied to the Business; Code of Conduct and Studio Etiquette.
- To attend all internal/external meetings/out reach on behalf of the College as required.
- To perform such duties consistent with your role as may from time to time be assigned to you anywhere within the college.
- To undertake health and safety duties and responsibilities appropriate to the role.
- To work in accordance with the colleges Equal Opportunities Policy ,promotinge quality and diversity in your work.
- To manage and promote thecollege andevents within the college internally and externally,through events, online, print and the media.
- To attend training for new college courses/systems/validations/accreditations.
