Part-Time Paid Architectural Internship Role in GoldenSword

**Our Desired Profile**

The applicant will be working on a range of projects mainly in the residential and commercial sector - Private client homes, extensions, and loft conversions.

**What we are looking for**

GoldenSword Design LTD is looking for highly motivated Part-Time Interns to design useful, usable, and desirable 2D and 3D drawings for our customers, clients and employees.

Interns will focus on ideation, interaction design, and delivery of prior designs. They will also find opportunities to participate in user-centred design processes and should have a desire to broaden and improve their skills continually.

These Future Designers are part of multi-disciplinary teams, which include experienced researchers, content designers, service designers, and customer experience measurement analysts.

**Training**

You’ll begin with an orientation at our main office. Over the course of the program, you’ll have access to professional and leadership development training, networking, business deep dives and one-on-one mentorship.

**Career progression**

**What You’ll Do**
- Design and re-design building experiences under the guidance and direction of Experience Leads
- In partnership with builders and agents, participate in user research to better understand user needs and behaviours, and usability testing to see how your solutions work for users
- Ideation and prototyping to explore different options, landing on elegant, and even unexpected, solutions that satisfy requirements
- Diagram the interactivity of the product, including user flows and wireframes
- Detailed design, built upon our Design System, brings our solutions to life
- Begin incorporating Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices
- Present work, and articulate design decisions, to Design Leads.

**Skills**:

- Highly desire extensive experience in a similar environment in Architecture.
- Very eager to learn and having some past professional experience is a plus
- Requires the ability to prioritize and organize
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Be capable of multi-tasking jobs and working with teams to accomplish project work.
- Good organizational skills
- Prioritization skills
- Proficient in Windows, Word and Excel
- Ability to use Apple Macbook and Windows.
- Proficient in **Revit, AutoCAD**, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign
- Have excellent design ability, graphic skills and **Model Making skills**:

- Presentation Skills
- Professional in 3D Drawings
- Prepare and develop architectural drawings in order to create Planning & UK building regulations drawings
- Ability to take measurements on-site
- Coordinate and communicate with structural engineers, party wall surveyors, and other surveyors
- Good communication skills
- Good Social Media Skills
- Attend Site Visits

**Job Type**: Part-time Internship

Part-time hours: 3 weekdays from 10am to 4pm.

Interns have their own desks and seats in the headquarter office.

**Salary**:
First 6 months (3 days of the week) no salary.

From £6k to 48k per year.

We have a point based system.Employees have to complete weekly tasks. Weekly tasks give bonus score points. Oppurtunity to win £20-£50 bonus according to tasks scores every week.
