My client is based in Hendon, North West London. We are a fourth generation small to medium sized family business employing around 60 people. We manufacture all aspects of sword fencing equipment which we then sell worldwide.

We are looking for a technical buyer who will be responsible for the purchase of goods, materials and services to ensure that company operational needs are met, considering price, quality, delivery and continuity of supply.
One of your key rolls will be the integrate all of our current purchases onto our central system. Inhouse training will be given and eventually you will become the expert in this field within the business.

**Essential**:

- 3 years’ experience in an engineering or têxtile procurement role
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Well-developed interpersonal and organisation skills
- Skilled negotiator on both cost and delivery schedules
- Experience of sourcing new suppliers potentially covering new technologies
- Liaise with manufacturers and check the shipping/delivery schedule of incoming containers/deliveries.
- To obtain the best quotation and terms from suppliers if required to find new items.
- Resolve any problems with suppliers, the technical team (quality issue), and warehouse (delivery issue), and to support the import arrangement team if there is any issue for suppliers you are responsible for.
- IT literate, competent using Microsoft excel, VLOOKUP / pivot tables, creating formular and marcos.

**Package**

Duration Full time permanent roll with a three-month probation period

Rate £30,000 per annum
Bonus: Annual companywide Christmas bonus.
Hours 40 Hours a week

Times Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm with 15min break and 30 min lunch
Friday 8:00am to 2:00pm with one 15 min break in the morning
Holiday 20 days per annum plus the 8 Bank Holidays. (increasing to 23 over 5 years)
