**Role Purpose**

Accountable for the maintenance and update of the Document Management System and Technical Library.

**Data Controllor**

This opportunity, based at our **Prestwick** site offers:

**Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for the correct issuing of drawings and other materials from the Documen Management System as requested by all functions and production personnel.
- Responsible for the generation, update and maintenance of the Technical Control Manuals (TCM’s) for various projects on site.
- Provide engineering data support to all areas (i.e. engineering, quality, production, and any other area as required).
- Assist in the implementation of visual displays and control documents to assist in the communication of quality and engineering information within the business.
- To ensure information published to the supply chain is topical.
- Create and maintain manual and electronic filing and recording systems in support of Engineering Control.
- Ensure timely support of engineering data in preparation on new bids and estimates.
- Enable new business introduction by co-ordinating the flow of engineering information in and from the site.

Qualifications:
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- One year relevant office experience, including implementing and maintaining paper and electronic filing systems.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently if required.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- A good standard of education with knowledge of office procedures.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages - Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.
- Attention to detail is essential.

**Decision Making Authority**
- Guidance is typically available from well defined procedures and work instructions. Additional verbal instructions shall be given by the Team Leader and/or more experienced staff.
- Although some work will be checked for accuracy, it will be more normal for review to be sought only when unusual problems need to be referred to the Team Leader.
- Decision Making extremely limited, works within structured boundaries, procedures and work instructions. Decisions which affect their own job will require occasional approval. Decisions which impact on a work team, department or function will require regular approval from the Team Leader.
- No staff responsibility.
