The Regional Hyper-acute Rehabilitation Unit is a 24-bedded unit offering multi-disciplinary assessment and rehabilitation to patients with complex neurological needs.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our dynamic physiotherapy team as aPhysiotherapy Assistant.

The post holder will receive regular 1:1 supervision sessions from a Specialist Physiotherapist to help achieve appropriate skill and knowledge development. The post holder will be supported to actively participate in on-going learning including attendance at departmental education and training sessions.

The post holder will require excellent communication skills and an ability to work independently as well as part of a team. They will need to be motivated, have good organisational skills and to have a proactive and empathetic approach to their work.

The Physiotherapy Assistant plays a key role within the established Physiotherapy and Multi-disciplinary Team. The post holder will work closely with therapists to provide assessment and treatment sessions for patients on the unit. This will include delivering individualised treatment programmes, therapy within a group setting and joint working with the physiotherapy and wider multi-disciplinary team. The role also includes specific responsibilities that help to ensure the smooth running of the physiotherapy department such as routine administrative & housekeeping duties and monitoring & ordering of stock.
