**Mission and Main Objectives**:
A one year contract to cover maternity leave, this role will be to support the Inbound Transport team’s delivery of strategic projects and drive key performance indicators which optimise cost, service and sustainability goals in relation to the transportation of parts from across UK, Europe and Africa, into the Nissan Sunderland site.

**Outline and Responsibilities**:
Strategy - propose and align operating strategies with Purchasing, Customs and Operations colleagues for your scope areas
Sourcing - support the execution of sourcing projects with Purchasing colleagues.
Relationship Management - develop strong partnerships with our hauliers, to ensure they full support our long term strategies and deliver against key performance indicators for cost, service and sustainability.
Business Planning - work with Operations to develop and deliver the annual budget for your scope areas, supporting monthly gap analysis and recovery planning.
Process Ownership - responsible for key performance indicators, developing plans to deliver annual goals, and constantly seeking to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the process itself.
Innovation - use industry insights, external benchmarking and other appropriate routes to develop new ideas that support our company goals.
Collaboration - develop trusting relationships across the business and with partners to achieve optimal cost, service and sustainability results.

**Experience and Qualifications Required**:
Data Analytics - able to use a variety of analytical tools and software to crunch data, and to present clear and engaging proposals to all levels of management/peers.
Autonomy - able to ‘self direct’ and develop personal work plans/priorities with little need for micro management.
Project Management - understands the basics of project management, and preferably has experience of leading projects from inception to conclusion.
Personal Leadership - excellent planning, priority setting, and organisation skills, willing to be flexible and agile as new opportunities arise.
Communication - confident, clear and concise, both in terms of verbal and written communication.
Travel - Able to support business travel requirements as appropriate.
Industry specific - previous experience of working in an inbound transportation role, and/or relevant industry linked qualifications would be preferable but not essential.
