**Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm**

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with experience in supporting children with behaviour and Special Educational Needs (SEN)? **The Role**: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will be working on a 1-to-1 basis with a child in Year 5, providing essential support to help them access the curriculum and develop better behaviour for learning. Your role will be pivotal in promoting positive engagement in the classroom and enabling the student to achieve their full potential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide 1-to-1 support to the designated child in Year 5, helping them to manage their behaviour and develop appropriate social skills.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and the SENCO to implement individualised behaviour support plans.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that fosters the student's emotional well-being and encourages their academic progress.
- Utilise your experience in supporting children with SEN, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), to tailor interventions and approaches accordingly.
- Work closely with other support staff and educational professionals to ensure a holistic and cohesive approach to the child's development.
- Document and report progress and any concerns to the relevant stakeholders, including parents and school leadership.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in supporting children with behaviour and SEN needs.
- Knowledge and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and its impact on learning and behaviour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with the child, colleagues, and parents.
- Compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young learners.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues to meet the child's individual needs.
