**About this opportunity**:
You will be responsible for a wide range of highways maintenance and construction type work, including highway construction, traffic management on single/dual carriageways, ditch clearing, and minor drainage works, and reactive maintenance and emergency call outs.

As well as this, there will be the requirement of carrying out on site assessments to solve or design highway related issues, and to carry our grounds maintenance work. You will also provide support Team Leaders in the inspection and repair of the highway network and by responding to service requests.

We are also looking for someone who can adapt well to the demands of the service, who can travel throughout Cumbria and surrounding areas, and is willing to take part in winter maintenance function or other out of hour’s functions.
