REPORTS TO: Youth Ambition Lead and Senior Managers

LOCATION: Home Based within the Westmorland and Furness area

CONTRACT: 12 Months with the potential to extend HOURS: FT - 37 hrs

SALARY: £25,500 - £29,000 pro rata (dependant on experience) with stakeholder pension, mileage allowance & health benefits (dependant on funding)

JOB SUMMARY

Cumbria Youth Alliance is seeking to appoint one Youth Outreach Worker Link Worker to work in partnership with DWP staff to identify and support a cohort of 30, 16-24-year-olds across the Westmorland and Furness council area, into employment, further education, or training. This role will be an integral part of the Forging Futures program.

You will have experience delivering to young people on a 1-1 basis, as well as in group activities. Have a knowledge of the local labour market and provision. You will be required to keep detailed records of engagement, session hours and contacts.

You will work alongside colleagues and external evaluators to develop strong evaluation and reflection processes to ensure effective delivery and data capture to meet key performance indicators, while adhering to Cumbria Youth Alliance core values.

GENERAL

The post holder will receive ongoing training and support, participate in regular online and in person best practice workshops.

You will have a shared responsibility for the monitoring and evaluation of the projects whilst adhering to Cumbria Youth Alliance’s core values and funding requirements, striving to meet key milestones and performance indicators.

You will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check, must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Equipment will be supplied to enable you to undertake your role (mobile and laptop and relevant software) alongside a package of training and development sessions.

KEY TASKS

Support the young people we work with to develop and move towards employment or training.

Effectively record outcomes using our management information system.

To work alongside colleagues and external evaluators to develop strong evaluation and reflection processes.

Work with colleagues and local stakeholders to tailor support to meet local needs.

To support with administrative parts of the role.

Managing safeguarding accordingly.

Work within CYA guidelines to provide consistent support and engagement.

Engage with employers to create positive links to the job market for young people in Westmorland and Furness.

**Salary**: £25,500.00-£29,000.00 per year
