**Caremark Homecare Services - Care Assistant**

**Full Time, Permanent**
**£18,000 - £20,000 depending on shifts.**

**The Role**

Do you want to feel good about the work you do, that you make a difference in someone’s life? Working as a Care Assistant with Caremark will give you that and more.

We have three teams working in Cheltenham, Gloucester and Stroud, providing the highest quality support and care for older people in their own homes, enabling them to live a lifestyle of their own choosing.

The type of things you might be doing include:

- Carrying out all aspects of personal care - help with getting in and out of bed, washing, bathing, dressing and help going to the toilet
- Assisting and administering medication - with appropriate training
- Any other daily tasks that may be required - such as light housekeeping, preparing meals and running errands such as shopping trips
- Monitoring clients’ health and wellbeing
- Working as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Carrying out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device

Whether you are experienced, or new to care, Caremark will invest in you - there’s no previous experience required just a desire to care for people, we’ll provide the training and support.

**Hours**

Flexibility for daily shifts: 7:00am - 2pm and/or 4pm - 10pm with availability for shifts on an alternate weekend basis.

**Personal Description/Requirements**
- First and foremost, you need to be a friendly, caring and patient person with a can-do attitude
- Secondly you need to have a full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
- Thirdly, a desire to help people and to make a difference to their lives.
