**SEND Teaching Assistant - Mar **gate - Term time only - £75/80 per day**

**About Us**:
Our school is a nurturing and inclusive school dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work alongside our experienced staff and contribute to the growth and success of our students.

**Position: Teaching Assistant**

Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Term time only)

**Salary**: £76 - £80 per day

**Role Responsibilities**:
Work closely with our teaching team to provide tailored support to young people with complex needs.

Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.

Provide one-on-one and small group support during lessons and activities.

Collaborate with teachers and therapists to facilitate the holistic development of students.

Contribute to maintaining a safe and organised classroom setting.

**Qualities and Experience**:
While formal Teaching Assistant qualifications are not required, the following qualities and experience are desirable for success in this role:

- Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school or care setting.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the unique needs of students with complex needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing situations and individual student requirements.
- A commitment to learning and professional development in the field of special education.
