An exciting opportunity to work with the residents of Nottingham City to improve waste and recycling and support the City’s ambitions to become carbon neutral whist meeting Government recycling targets and helping to keep streets clean by reducing side waste.

You will work closely with the waste operations team as well as other internal teams such as community protection and marketing and communications to help educate and inform residents of waste and recycling services, sharing information and best practice.

You will also work with the Universities to ensure that the large student population of the City are aware of the City’s waste and recycling services and are using these facilities correctly.

Engaging with all households you will help develop and implement new recycling schemes by using your excellent IT skills to evaluate data to identify repeat issues and trends and working with the operations team to design and implement campaigns and resolutions.

A customer facing role, you will spend most of your time out in the culturally diverse communities that make up our vibrant City, using your excellent communication skills to inform and advise residents across the City. This is a genuine opportunity to make a difference for the residents of Nottingham City as well as the environment.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Use of own car / full clean driving licence
- Be able to work flexible including weekend work
- Have experience in working with customers and communicating effectively
- Be energetic and have a committed approach to environmental issues
- Ability to use a range of IT software including Microsoft packages and Share point for data management
