My client is a Global Managed Services company that are working with a Publishing company that are going through a digital transformation programme.

Job Details:

**The Role**

Due to significant business growth and an extensive digital transformation programme, we are looking for an exceptional hands-on Business Analyst to help us manage and deliver challenging IT and business projects that will keep our staff producing and deliveringamazing books for children the world over. Reporting to the IT Director/Project Manager and working closely with key stakeholders, you will be working in exciting and complex projects spanning multiple functions in the business.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Be a key lead on design of solutions for the business, including:

- Providing support and leadership for the Project Sponsor and the wider project team
- Requirements gathering and solution design
- Identify problems and develop potential solutions
- Work with users to identify process/system improvements
- Design, script and run database testing and validation
- Support implementation activities such as giving user support at go-live
- Contribute to post project reviews to ascertain project effectiveness and identify lessons learned
- Actively identify, measure, and manage project Risks and Performance
- Liaise with the Head of Product & Platform Experience and other key IT team leaders to facilitate implementation of agreed changes to database configuration/set-up, and support user groups and managers by developing database solutions to evolving businessrequirements
- Implement quality assurance procedures and conduct post project evaluations to ascertain their effectiveness
- Ensure all project documents (Business Requirements, Acceptance Criteria and User Stories) are complete current and stored in accordance with organisational requirements
- Produce relevant system documentation such as User Guides, SOPs, and Training Manuals

**Requirements**:

- Relevant Business Analyst qualification
- Worked on large scale digital transformations
- Ideally has worked within the Publishing sector
- Education to degree level or equivalent commercial experience
- Desirable: Prince 2 project management qualification or equivalent project-based experience in IT project environments
- Excellent communication skills including listening, negotiating and interpretation, establishing rapport, understanding needs, and reaching agreement with others. Able to adapt working style and communications appropriately to different levels.
- Ability to think logically with a demonstrated track record of researching and investigating issues and problem-solving. This will include analysing problems; identify solution criteria and producing a range of options to solve issues and implementing thebest fit solution
- Can build successful and effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and can manage these relationships over a sustained period
- Confident attitude to using initiative and taking responsibility, e.g., decision-making, project management, running meetings
- Excellent time management skills including planning, effectiveness, efficiency, reliability.
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality. Able to work independently and effectively and use own initiative to deliver projects
- Demonstrable experience in defining and achieving objectives and working with business users to achieve objectives
- Has a good understanding of operational management and, ideally, a sound knowledge of working with IT systems.
- Experience in working across digital and e-commerce projects
- Experience in commerce / retail implementation
