**We are looking for a dynamic Volunteer Coordinator who can inspire others to make a difference.**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. The role includes, recruiting and inducting new volunteers and looking after our regular and corporate volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator will also be part of the funding group, contributing to raising the profile of the charity with corporate organisations and other key stakeholders with the aim of generating revenue and opportunities.

You will also have responsibility for ‘The Hub’ reception. Supported by individual volunteers, the Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for keeping the reception functioning smoothly whilst maintaining a cheerful atmosphere, as you will often be the first point of contact for visitors.

**The Role**

The role of the Volunteer Coordinator includes, recruiting and inducting volunteers, looking after regular volunteers, as well as a range of reception duties.

The main purpose of the role is to implement and develop Save the Family’s volunteering programme (including individual volunteers, placement students and corporate volunteers) across all departments within the organisation. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting and supporting volunteers in a variety of roles at the Charity.

As part of the role, the Volunteer Coordinator will liaise with external agencies and organisations to promote Save the Family’s volunteering opportunities, using a broad range of communication methods including, events, networking and speaking engagements.

The Volunteer Coordinator will also be responsible for the reception area and its associated duties, it is expected that individual volunteers will be recruited to support the Volunteer Coordinator with cover for the reception area.
