**Job Title: Operations Team Leader Salary Range - £24000 - £30000 - dependent on experience - Monday to Friday 06.30 - 3.00 p.m.**

**Reports to: Shift Manager**
**Role Overview**

The Operations Team Leader is responsible for supporting the Shift Manager in planning and organising warehouse activities efficiently and safely. They will motivate employees and monitor performance across the shift to ensure that all KPI’s are met whilst ensuring that the team complies with legislation and company standards, providing a high level of customer service at all times in a safe manner.

**Main Core Responsibilities**
1. Support the Shift Manager in the day to day running of the operation and managing any issues within the warehouse.
2. Ensure throughput is maximised to achieve Company’s SLA/KPI’s
3. Providing leadership for the Warehouse Team
4. Scheduling and supervising the activities and functions of the warehouse team in a proper and timely manner to ensure completion of all warehouse activities in agreement with the Shift Manager
5. Communicate plans with the Warehouse Team to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
6. Ensure compliance with the company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures through safe systems of work, practices, good housekeeping and the provision of information and training to the warehouse team to ensure total safety awareness

7. Keep and maintain records of team performance against plans with regular updates to the Shift
Manager.

8. Assist in the organisation of training and development for the Warehouse Team, including on-the-job coaching, evaluating training effectiveness in terms of improved individual and team performance and maximum flexibility of team members

9. Review with the Shift Manager and individuals, opportunities for improving work methods and practices on a continuous basis

10. Offer regular feedback through ROCs, formal and informal, on team and individual performance, including behavioural issues, highlighting good performance and areas for further development.

11. Assist the Shift Manager in controlling levels of planned and unplanned absence taking appropriate action to ensure cover as necessary

12. Participate as an active member of the Warehouse Team, offering suggestions for solving problems, improving efficiency, customer and quality focus and team working

13. Responsible for the security of stock and premises as necessary

**AM Operation’s Team Leader - To support the leading of the shift between the hours of 6.30 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. Flexibility required to cover leave across shifts when needed.**
- Ensure that all warehouse operations, including receiving deliveries, storing products, and preparing customer orders, are completed in a safe and efficient manner in line with Company policy
- Scheduling deliveries and assign timeslots for a balanced workflow each week
- Organising cycle counting working with the Finance Team and Operations Manager

**Internal Customers**
- Build and maintain relationships with the teams in Finance, Customer Service and Purchasing to ensure a seamless delivery to our external customers
- Providing Customer Services assistance with reasonable requests, information, and general support
- Providing Finance Team information on any costs to the business

**External Customers**:

- Build and maintain relationship with external suppliers in relation to Packaging, Recruitment, Pallet management, Transport, MHE, Racking and Security as necessary.
- Ensure that the Click and Collect Service is managed in line with Company standards

**Team Commitment**
- Maintain a positive can-do attitude
- Maintain an organised/hygienic department within agreed appropriate standards
- React positively to reasonable requests
- Continually update own knowledge and skills.
- Contribute and participate to the annual PDR process

**Risk Management**
- Complying and engaging with company Health and Safety policy, training employees and monitoring adherence

**Reliability**
- Ensuring customers SLA are met, with good understanding of Customers requirements

**Accuracy & Quality**
- Driving improvements in pick, replenishment, & put away accuracy - target 99%
- Review all accidents in order to demonstrate “lessons learnt” and continuous improvement
- Ensuring that Returns is within SLA, received today & put away today
- Ensuring that the stock team members fully understand their responsibilities, maintain reasonable response times and accurate stock levels
- Accepting and checking in deliveries
- Driving order accuracy

**Managing People**
- Monitor and feedback on performance
- Carry out annual and interim review PDR and probation reviews for warehouse operatives.
- Control attendance using the time and attendance portal Astrow, to manage absences in line with the sickness and absence policy
- Identify and act on performance shortfalls or training requirements that may arise during the year
- Ensuring compliance with BTC policies and procedures.
