Edwards Vacuum are looking for the next generation of Data Scientists to help build our data capability and support our transition to a data driven organisation. This fully funded degree apprenticeship lets you earn while you learn on the job whilst studying for a BSc (Hons).

**The role**

The Data Science Apprentice role will be part of the divisional engineering team and will have responsibility for different Data & Analytics tasks and short-term project assignments such as:

- Identifying and reviewing the existing data sources used to create our reports and dashboards.
- Establishing how to best integrate data sources into a connected data catalogue.
- Creating new data sources.
- Creating reports and dashboards to help tell a story and drive data led decisions.
- Supporting the delivery of consistent & meaningful data insights.
- Supporting the delivery of data projects

**Training provided**

BPP apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by a fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, they’ve purposefully built their programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills they create can be directly applied in our workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship you will receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure you get the most from your work experience.

**About you**

We’re not expecting you to be able to run before you can walk, that’s why it’s an apprenticeship We’ll support you to fulfil your potential. The key skills we are looking for you to show us are:

- Organisation
- Teamwork
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Problem solving

**You’ll also need**
- Or a recognised and equivalent qualification.
- Or a completed Level 3 apprenticeship/professional qualification in a relevant discipline or have existing bachelor’s degree.
- Maths and English GCSE at 9-4 or A-C or equivalent.
- To be eligible for a government funded apprenticeship, you must have lived in the UK for the last 3 consecutive years prior to the apprenticeship start date.
