Senior Consultant - Shopper

Kantar Consulting is a specialist growth consultancy. We help clients develop and execute brand, marketing, retail, sales and shopper strategies to deliver growth.

We currently have opportunities for experienced National Account Manager, Category Manager or strategy consultants to join our Commercial Strategy division to help turn strategy into action with our clients. You will be able to use your sales and category knowledge to help clients build engaging go to market strategies. You will be mentored by practice Directors and Partners and have responsibility for delivering high quality client work, being able to work autonomously and build client relationships

What type of Client Questions do we answer in Go to Market Strategy?
- How should I differentiate my brand across different retail channels?
- How can I grow the category and engage my retailers with a compelling story about my brands?
- How can I create a ‘perfect store’ for my category and ensure we follow the same principles across the globe?
- What are the implications of my shopper’s path to purchase and how should this shape my category/marketing or sales strategy?

KEY OUTCOMES
- Deliver client project work as part of a wider team, being responsible for a particular aspect of the project
- Contribute towards building strong client relationships through effective day-to-day client management
- Help to create and deliver engaging and compelling client presentations for an executive-level audience
- Support business development efforts including proposal development

CAPABILITIES
- A background in FMCG sales or category (e.g. National Account Manager, Category Manager, Channel manager)
- Solid understanding of channels, retailers and instore execution levers (price, promo, planograms, layout, secondary displays)
- Logical, practical, and well organised thinkers with a curiosity that will impact our clients’ strategy and growth
- The ability to tell a detailed, multi-layered and impactful story through data & other sources of info - not just the ‘nice to know’ but the ‘so-what’ for clients
- Able to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Rigorous analytical skills - confidence, proficiency and enjoyment in working with numerical outputs
- Curious and proactive in exploring avenues to challenge the status quo to build new ways of working & innovate approaches to drive more effective, efficient and inspiring outcomes.
