With over 20 manufacturing and service facilities across the world, this impressive engineering organisation supply a diverse range of customers operating in Oli & Gas, Power Generation and Utilities.

Their** ELLAND** based factory is a manufacturing facility that produces components for Valves, Actuators and Pumps. Because of continued demand of these types of products, they are now recruiting for a Fitter/Tester to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful Fitter/Tester will easily be able to commute to the **ELLAND** facility from surrounding towns & cities, including Rochdale, Oldham, Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford, Leeds, Dewsbury and Wakefield.
**Key Responsibilities of the Fitter/Tester will include**:

- Undertaking assembly and testing of Valves Built.
- Help to define, diagnose and solve problems as part of a team using a logical and disciplined approach
- Hydro test body and seat, FE testing and vacuum testing of valves to procedures, this includes ASME procedures.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement exercises & meetings and providing ideas for process improvement as necessary
- Complete in progress check sheet for all valves built

**The ideal Fitter/Tester will**:

- Ideally Not Essential - be HNC qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ previous experience of working in a Valves & Controls manufacturing environment.
- Be mechanically minded and have a positive approach to any problems that they may come across
- Be able to follow engineering drawings and procedures that are in place

**Working Hours of the Fitter/Tester**:
37 Hours per week spread across 4 days per week (trial):

- 07.00 - 4.45pm - Mon - Thurs

**In return, the Fitter/Tester will receive**:

- Renumeration: £29,100 per annum / £15.12 per hour
- 33 Holidays per annum (26 days plus 7 Bank Holidays),
