**Thames water is looking for an Environmental Pollution Coordinator. This is a shift role working alternating shift pattern of 06:00-14:45 and 13:15-22:00.**

**We are paying up to £40,000 depending on skills and experience.**

**What you will be doing?**

This role offers a great opportunity to use cutting-edge data to help improve our Waste Treatment Compliance. Utilising our in-depth weather forecast data, you will be at the forefront of handling the latest technologies and providing our field teams with the data they need to keep our assets running.

In this role, you will make a real difference and improve the way we work to minimise our impact on the environment. You will be working alongside a diverse and engaged team in a fast-paced environment in a role that has the potential to significantly benefit the company’s regulatory performance.
- As the Environmental Pollution Coordinator, you will provide additional support for Sewage Treatment pollution incidents as well as provide the business with weather updates and perform various Final Effluent quality checks via a network of remote monitors.
- You will use your environmental knowledge and expertise to proactively identify and respond to indicators of potential Sewage Treatment Work performance issues.
- You will conduct regular checks and update our pollution response data working closely with the management team on any changes or updates needed.
- You will closely monitor rising trends, conduct analysis to highlight the problem and work together with our field operations colleagues to case manage these incidents to an effective resolution.
- You will closely with our regulators, providing clear and concise updates on environmental incidents and developing positive working relationships.

**We’re looking for you to**:

- Have confident presentational skills, as well as strong written, verbal technical and non-technical communication skills.
- Have strong attention to detail, problem-solving and insight as well as the ability to work well under pressure is key to the crucial role.
- Be fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems and Office software as well as open to learning and adapting to new systems.
- Ideally have a degree (or equivalent) in an environment-related science.
- Possess good analytical skills as well as the ability to communicate findings and actions to other teams.
