Workshop Fitter

Our client is looking for a Workshop Fitter on a permanent basis, located in Aberdeen.

**ROLE**
- Stripping, cleaning and identifying repairs required on customer pumps
- Repairing and testing of above pumping equipment
- General workshop duties including drilling, tapping and basic bench fitting
- Assisting the Workshop Supervisor with ad hoc duties as and when needed

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To strip & report on faults on customer pumps
- To recommend necessary repairs, to identify all parts required to complete the repair, in order for a quote to be prepared
- To carry out required repairs when authorised
- To complete timesheets to enable time worked to be allocated to specific jobs correctly
- To attend sites where necessary to carry out pump repairs
- Work to the instructions of the Workshop Supervisor
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations at base and on site. Seek guidance where necessary
- Any other relevant & reasonable duties that may be requested by the Workshop Supervisor

**REQUIREMENTS**

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NECCESSARY:

- Experienced mechanical fitter
- Pump knowledge desirable
- Full clean driving licence
