**The Opportunity**

We have the opportunity for you to join our team as a Master Data Lead. The Master Data Lead is responsible for the quality and integrity of Master Data.

There are three main areas of focus for the role:

- Defining and managing Master Data Management processes and data standards
- Project based activities, for example overseeing data cleanse and migration for new entities as they transition into the AX environment
- Positioning Master Data within the wider systems landscape and building a roadmap to ensure that Master Data is aligned across key systems

In this role you will be:
**Master Data Management Processes**
- Establish and maintain a common set of processes and standards for Master Data
- Manage the request process and ensure that requests are dealt with promptly and within agreed SLA’s
- Build data reconciliation routines and standard checks to ensure data quality and integrity
- Liaise with business stakeholders and Group IT to capture changes and update the process as necessary
- Provide standard reporting for a defined set of KPI’s (e.g. # requests raised)
- Continuous improvement of processes including automation of data entry/updates wherever feasible

**Project Aligned Activities**
- Provide assistance for data migration and cleanse activities
- Ensure that all data loaded meets quality and integrity standards (e.g. no duplicates, complete set of accurate, current data, in agreed format)

**Systems Knowledge**
- Understand the systems integration landscape and the impact on Master Data
- Input into systems integration design and ensure that Master Data considerations are taken into account
- Diagnose and resolve Master Data system related issues
- Perform root cause analysis and make recommendations for system improvements

**Stakeholder Management**
- A key part of the role is communication and liaison with business leads and Group IT to ensure:

- Common understanding and by-in for Master Data Management and associated processes
- Clarity around data standards
- Master Data quality and integrity is given the right focus across the business

**Best Practice**
- Responsible for sharing and embedding best practice and keeping up to date with latest techniques and approaches to Master Data Management

**Team Responsibilities**
- Manage and prioritise the workload of the Master Data team
- Provide advice and guidance
- Develop the team and establish standard ways of working
- Previous experience of managing Master Data, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of working with ERP Systems
- Microsoft Dynamics AX experience an advantage
- Experience of using SQL to assist with system data related issues
- Good understanding of standard project methodology (e.g. Prince 2)
- Current driving license essential
