Finance Officer

The Finance Officer will support the Finance Manager in compiling weekly cost metrics, purchase orders and variance analysis along with other finance duties. In addition, this role will provide responsibility for Office Management including reception tasks, visitor co-ordination to the site and will provide any such administration support to the Head of Production as required.

**Duties and Responsibilities (Accountabilities)**

The following specific job responsibilities relate to this position:

- Weekly KPIs data production for Stornoway and assisting other sites;
- Calculation and recording of piecework, scallop and prawn,
- Assist with running the time-booking system;
- Co-ordinate the manual purchase order system;
- Goods receiving for raw materials on a timely basis;
- Match and process invoices for all purchases;
- Input daily stock details onto spreadsheets;
- Balance from closing to opening stock and deal with discrepancies;
- Dealing with payroll and any resulting queries; ensuring the accurate payroll data is transferred for execution.
- Handling of Petty Cash,
- Collate all sheets produced by operations and reconcile to ensure accuracy;
- Report raw material purchases and sales;
- Enter purchase details electronic Buyers register online, as required under the legislation of the Scottish Fishing industry;
- Create invoices/statement for boat payments and loans,

**General Office Management duties**:

- Reception duties, i.e. dealing with visitors, answering telephones, dealing with mail, photocopying, and booking travel and accommodation.
- Assisting with HR duties, such as contract issue, minute taking at meetings,
- Input daily timesheet and holidays, record holiday calculations,
- Perform other ad hoc tasks as required,
- Provide help to other members of staff as required.
