Learning Support Assistant (South Croydon)

LARA Search is working with an outstanding special school in South Croydon and is seeking highly motivated Learning Support Assistants to join their dynamic and inclusive team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting KS1-KS4 students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work with teachers to plan and deliver learning activities that meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
- Provide one-to-one support for students with additional needs.
- Assist with class activities, including supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and physical needs.
- Foster a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and senior leadership.
- Attend meetings with parents, teachers, and other professionals as required.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with students with SEND, ideally in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of a range of SEN needs and strategies to support students with these needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to working with students.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, would be an advantage.
