Our client is an independent power producer primarily focused on building and operating highly flexible small-mid scale embedded peaking generation and battery storage projects in the UK.
They are the largest provider of flexible generation in the UK and have a combined installed capacity of over 700 MW across circa 50 sites.

They are currently seeking a Delivery Manager to join their growing development team and become part of the largest battery storage, flexible generation and energy solutions provider with continued ambition for growth. This position will be a key part of thedevelopment team, supporting the delivery of a large and growing portfolio of projects across a range of technologies: battery storage, solar, grid stability schemes and hydrogen projects.

The role consists in taking ownership of projects and leading them through the development process, from the point of initial identification to being 'shovel ready'.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinating the delivery of projects through the internal stage gate process and preparing papers for board approval, working with Development Managers and other stakeholders.
- Undertake due diligence on projects that are being evaluated or looking to acquire
- Undertake commercial modelling of opportunities to assess their viability and achieve key hurdle rates
- Lead the financing and technical diligence of projects with their funders and third-party technical advisors
- Lead on the negotiation of property agreements to put in place heads of terms, options and leases
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders that are involved in the projects
- Generate and maintain project schedules, risk registers, budgets and take projects through internal project management process, which includes key milestone reviews and Project Information Document
- Represent the company with involvement in workshops, industry forums and working groups as required
- Work with their in-house GIS and design team to review and optimise workstreams

**Requirements**:

- Ideally at least 3 - 5 years of experience within the energy industry
- Experience in all phases of project development, with specific experience in planning, land agreements, connections, and financing
- Commercial management skills are essential to undertake financial modelling and assess the commercial viability of projects
- Excellent oral, written and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships
- Highly organised and able to work within a fast-paced environment and react proactively to workflows
- Take ownership and drive tasks through to completion
- Adaptable and pragmatic, with the ability to quickly understand key issues and ensure resolution for the successful delivery of projects
- Travel will be required as part of the role, therefore own transport is essential with occasional overnight stays if necessary
