Post NC Operative
PURPOSE OF JOB
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor the Post NC Operative is responsible for dressing and finishing aircraft parts.
**MAIN DUTIES**
- Using pneumatic tooling to deburr and dress; capable of fettling and dressing aluminum aircraft components using airmatic tools such as grinders, die grinders, sanders, drills, and routers
- Dress to tight tolerance while removing mismatches and deburring parts
- Using hand tools for drilling
- Working with a variety of materials, mainly aluminium
- Router stringer’s profiles using correct jigs
- Close tolerance work
- High attention to details is essential while maintaining production rate to satisfy customer demands
- Basic MRP knowledge would be beneficial but not essential, to scan operations and book labour hours against the part
- Maintain and communicating a shift handover
- Any other duties within job holders skills remit as requested by Management

**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent (desirable)
- HNC/HND/NVQ (or equivalent) in Engineering (desirable)
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- 2 - 3 years’ experience of working in a similar role (desirable)
- Previous experience using a variety of hand and bench tools (essential)
