We have a rewarding opportunity available for a **Care Worker** to join our vibrant enthusiastic team based in **Bristol and surrounding areas.**You will join us on either a **full-time or part-time, permanent basis**and in return, you will receive a **competitive hourly rate of £10.00 - £12.00plus benefits**.

**About the role of our Care Worker**:
As our Care Worker, you will support clients who have a range of different needs, meaning no two days will be the same Experience of care work would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided. Some of your main duties will be to providepersonal care, support clients with their meal preparation, provide companionship, promote independence and make it possible for our clients to remain in their own homes.
We support clients in the following areas of Bristol: Bradley Stoke, Stoke Gifford, Patchway, Almondsbury, Filton, Little Stoke. We offer both day and night shifts.

**Duties and responsibilities of our Care Worker will include**:
- Undertaking all duties that are outlined in the service users care plan
- Maintaining good communication and developing good working relationships
- Adhering to Clover Health and home care policies and procedures
- To travel to Service Users as directed
- Carrying out personal care tasks that are not the responsibility of a Nurse but which could normally be expected to be undertaken by a member of the family
- Encouraging and motivating Service Users to maintain their independence within their limitations
- Reporting to the Registered Manager/Care coordinator on the condition of the Service User particularly any significant change in the Service User’s behaviour needs or circumstances
- Encouraging the use of special equipment provided, to assist Service Users, if authorised by the Registered Manager with the use of artificial limbs
- Contacting a Doctor and Emergency Services (when required) to make appointments
- Participating in the Departmental Code of Practice in relation to the administration of medication
- Preparing and cooking meals in the Service User’s home
- Assisting with the budgeting of household accounts, collecting pensions, shopping and paying bills when this cannot be undertaken by others
**What we’re looking for in our Care Worker**:
- **Full driving licence and access to own car is a must**:
- Willing to work towards common induction standards
- Willing to work towards an NVQ level 2 /3/4
- Understanding of social care and being willing to learn
- Able to understand and cope with emergency situations
- An open minded person
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to cope under pressure and with change
- Good Organisation skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Have a caring, kind nature and being able to show empathy
- A good Listener
- Fluent in English
