**Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4pm**
Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our food manufacturing client to recruit a QA Assistant on a temporary basis.
**Duties will include but are not limited to**:
- Ensuring that all procedures are adhered to by employees
- Responsible for daily and weekly procedures assisting and ensuring production and packing requirements are met
- Ensuring that Initial Start-Up of Date Coders and date codes are correct
- Ensuring calibration of electronic sales is completed
- Ensuring daily checking of food product is completed, recorded and reporting any issues to management
- Ensuring metal bins are checked and emptied daily, including completion of any relevant paper work
- Ensuring moisture checks are completed, recorded and any deviations or issues are reported to management
- Ensuring hand wash spot checks are completed and recorded
- Ensuring labels are printed and distributed to packing prior to production starting
- Ensuring canteen QC checks are completed i.e. refrigeration and freezer temperature checks
- Monitoring and checking batch mixing sheets for correct batch codes etc. ensuring delivery dates match correct batches for traceability purposes
**You will need**:
- Experience of working in a Quality Assurance role in a food manufacturing/production environment
- The ability to understand and complete forms correctly
- Appropriate Food Safety Legislations
- Appropriate Health and Safety Legislation, including Health and Safety Work Act and COSHH
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the company
- Strong interpersonal skills for communication with customers, suppliers etc.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude to your work
