**Role**: Engineering Manager / Maintenance Manager - would potentially consider a Maintenance Supervisor wishing to take that next step in their career.
**Salary**: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum, plus 15% bonus and benefits including private medical, life assurance
**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
**Location**: Commutable from Newport, Yate, Thornbury, Cardiff, Gloucester, Bristol and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting for a reputable and part of a global brand industrial company who are looking for an Engineering Manager / Maintenance Manager to work within their fast moving production environment.

This would suit someone who has managed Maintenance Engineers, ideally multi-disciplined, with impeccable communication skills. The work ethic and team fit are essential for this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Head up and oversee a Maintenance Department and Team of Engineers.
- Effectively manage maintenance activities (planned and unplanned), utilising operational excellence and continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and ensure mínimal equipment downtime.
- The collation, analysis and reporting of engineering, OEE, cost and process data, in support of key targets and objectives.
- Assist in the ongoing strategic plan of the factory.
- Drive and implement continuous improvements within the maintenance team to maximise efficiency within the Maintenance as well as Production departments.
- Champion, support and implement lean manufacturing techniques applicable with the engineering function.
- People management activities for a team of Engineers including recruitment, holidays, absence management, appraisals etc.
- Take an active role in increasing standards of safety and quality across the business, through highlighting hazards and making improvements in equipment and/or procedures.
- Maintain and update all maintenance documentation, which will include PC-based systems.
- Work closely with the production department to help plant deliver productivity goals.
- Manage revenue and capital spends within the confines of budget limits.

**Requirements**:

- Qualified in Engineering, holding qualifications in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering - these could be Degree or HND or HNC or ONC or City & Guilds or NVQ’s etc.
- Engineering Management or Maintenance Management or Maintenance Supervisory background, specifically overseeing a department or team of Maintenance Engineers within a similar field - Manufacturing / Industrial / Production.
- Proven track record of engaging with people and developing effective teams.
