Irwell Ward is a 6 bed Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit based at the Moorside Unit in Trafford (In-Patient Services). We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated STR Worker.

You will work within the Therapy team on the Moorside Unit, supported by Occupational Therapist, based within the ward Clinical Team.

You will support the clinical team to provide individual and group activities, based on interests and building skills, to the patient group on Irwell. The STR role also requires active involvement in planning and implementing interventions aimed at reducing restrictive practice and promoting a safe and therapeutic environment.

The post holder will need to have an interest and positive attitude to working within mental health settings. The post holder should be prepared to pro-actively contribute to the therapy and ward environment, as part of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team.

To work directly with service users to provideSupport, and giveTime to engage them in theirRecovery and promote health and well being in line with their care plan, under the direction of the Line Manager/Senior Practitioner on duty.
