We are recruiting a Commercial Buyer - Direct Materials to join our client based in Wynyard.

This is a 12-month contract with the potential to go long term, offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work for a leading global Chemical Manufacturing Company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop purchasing strategy for allocated categories
- Source new suppliers and materials
- Lead implementation in cooperation with sites by managing supplier relationships by using and developing KPIs
- Tender, negotiate and implement price agreements and contracts
- Cooperate with other buyers to develop and ensure best practice in purchasing

**Requirements**:

- Degree in business or administration
- Experience in a purchasing or commercial environment
- Fluent in English
- Team player with strong communication skills and a result driven attitude
