We’ve teamed up with an eCommerce specialist based in Bournemouth to help them find a Backend Developer skilled in Magento 2, to join their team.
This role is highly remote with quarterly trips to the office (of course you’re welcome to be office based as much as you like though) and loads of flexibility to ensure a great work/life balance.**What you’ll be doing**
Alongside a cross functional team that includes, Frontend Developers, DevOps, Designers, Project Managers, and client services, you’ll work on a varied mix of projects. This will include greenfield projects, building out new websites from the ground up as wellas new features and ongoing maintenance and enhancements of existing platforms.
You’ll work with Magento 2 to build custom modules, backend functionality, 3rd party and frontend API integrations, ensuring quality, well tested code.
The business offer time and resources for R&D projects and a clear path to Lead Developer if that’s the direction you’d like to take your career in.**What skills you’ll need to apply**:

- Skilled in backend development using PHP.
- Demonstrable experience developing with Magento 2.
- Well versed in MySQL databases.
- Proficiency with GIT and deployment tools.
- An understanding of AWS server administration would be helpful but not essential.
- An understanding of core frontend tech (HTML, CSS and JS) is an advantage, not essential.
- Prior experience working in a headless/microservice environment is ideal but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Desire to progress into a lead role would be great but is not essential.
