**Role: Purchasing coordinator
Location: Wednesbury

**Salary**: £25,000
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8 a.m. to 4.45 p./ Friday 8 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.**
Our client is a well-known, respected company in the castings industry, based in Wednesbury, offering a fantastic permanent opportunity for Purchasing coordinator.
You will be responsible for practicing efficient and effective ordering of consumables ensuring the supply of goods including production materials and equipment to enable the smooth running of production. For this, goods must be ordered at the right time, inthe right quantity, and of the right quality.
**Purchasing coordinator responsibilities**:

- Negotiating contract terms and pricing.
- Assessing and monitoring the quality of products
- Comparing and evaluating supplier offers.
- Monitoring stock levels.
- Tracking orders and ensure smooth delivery.
- Develop and build effective relationships with Suppliers and seeks to continually improve the standard of service.

**Purchasing coordinator skillset**:

- Previous experience in a Buying, Logistics or Trading role.
- A self-starter with the ability to organise and prioritise duties among multiple projects.
- Ability to plan ahead to meet deadlines with a high level of personal organisation
- Knowledge of procurement best practices would be advantageous as would knowledge of manufacturing and foundry products.
