IT Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Manager - £40-£50,000 Working in the office twice per week in Worthing.
Our utilities client is currently seeking an IT Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Manager who will be responsible for managing the IT DR and IT BCP Policies, Processes, and Operations with the relevant Operational Teams
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage implementation and day to day functions related to BCP Plans and Procedures, Disaster Recovery for IT and Service Continuity
- Develop and maintain Functional Continuity Plans on behalf of IT & Data working with Corporate Risk Management team to ensure alignment of processes and testing is carried out in accordance with test schedules
- Collate and monitor Business Continuity and Disaster Recover plans in accordance with the plan and test schedule
- Identify the resources required to plan, implement, monitor, review and improve DR/BCP and Service Continuity Plans to ensure compliancy
- Conduct internal IT BCP/DR & Service Continuity Plan audits and produce subsequent reports for senior managers and recommendations for compliance
- Ensure proper maintenance of plans through regular reviews with IT Teams
- Work cross functionally to facilitate scenario exercises and tests
- Schedule, coordinate and conduct planned tests
- Perform risk assessments
- Develop contingency plans to deal with emergencies
Experience needed:
- Strong Stakeholder Management & influencing skills with experience of working effectively with all levels throughout the organisation - excellent presentation skills
- Previous experience as either a Business Continuity or IT DR analyst (preferred) Previous experience of working with varied technologies
- Senior stakeholder management with experience of working effectively with all levels throughout the organisation.
- Relevant Business Continuity DR, Audit and Risk certifications/experience e.g., MBCP, CBCP, ABCP, CRISC, SISA, DRII/BCI BCDR Framework
- Experience in DR Planning, Crisis Management Planning, Plan Exercising/Testing,
- Experience of performing BC audits or managing/responding to a major, unplanned disruptive event requiring activation of the BC/DR Plan or Crisis Management Plan
- Demonstrable experience of implementing Service Continuity, BCP/DR frameworks
Qualifications:
BCI qualification (MBCI, CBCI) or relevant BC/DR experience or equivalent professional membership (eg.DRII), ITIL
