**MAIN PURPOSE**:
Tomanage amultidisciplinary team of officers, consultants and contractors ot identify and deliver a strategic annual programme of planned maintenance and to effectively deliver reactive maintenance works
To assist the Head of Facilities Management with strategic decision making about the best use of repairs and maintenance budgets ot manage long-term maintenance liabilities.
To work closely with other managers within Facilities Management (business manager, compliance manager and soft services manager), and being an active member of the SMT.
To be responsible for managing property specific health and safety risks within the client's operational estate.
**SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**:
Research and provide innovative solutions to complex and contentious building and maintenance issues. Ensure that they comply with statutory and legislative requirements.
Lead on directing the work of a multi-disciplinary professional team providing planned and reactive maintenance for the properties for which the Client has maintenance responsibilities.
To manage the establishment of a supply chain for maintenance activities, including developing procurement strategies, producing contract documents such as specifications and pricing schedules, and evaluating tenders.
To manage and monitor contractors, ensure that the estate si maintained ni compliance with relevant quality standards, legislative and regulatory requirements and the client's corporate and strategic objectives.
Manage and produce regular reports on the condition of the Client's estate, conducting site inspections ot identify short and long-term maintenance requirements.
