**Mechanical Design Engineer**

We are working with a highly reputable manufacturer based in Peterborough who require a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team. This will be a pivotal role in the team helping to develop bespoke machinery, supporting development projects,and providing technical assistance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure accurate drawings and parts lists are produced in accordance with Baker Perkins standards and quality procedures
- To ensure compliance of the equipment with legislation (e.g. EC Directives)
- Maintain and update drawings and parts lists by completion of change requests
- Undertake calculations to aid design work on projects
- Brief field engineers and visit customer sites when necessary
- Support engineering development, sales and customer services as appropriate

**Person Specification**
- Qualified to HNC/HND/degree level or equivalent in Engineering, or with an equivalent level of experience
- Competent in the use of 3D design and ERP business systems
- An innovative engineer with an analytical approach to problem solving
- Good communication skills
- Good PC literacy skills - Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Able to travel both within the UK and throughout the world

**Hours of Work and Pay**
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours a week
- Up to £38,000
- Company pension
