Electricity North West has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and collaborative Craftspersons Mate to join our inclusive team and help build, install and look after high-voltage and low-voltage electrical cables, switchgear and substations. This full-time electrical Supplier role is based in Blackburn and offers a salary of up to £31,000 p/a and excellent benefits.

**Our role**

As a Craftspersons Mate, you will use your hands-on skills to help build, install and look after high-voltage and low-voltage electrical cables, switchgear and substations. You will also be required to use safe working processes and follow technical drawings to work across public and private industrial electrical networks.

In your first few weeks in this Craftspersons Mate role, you can expect to:

- Comply with company Health and Safety processes, including completion of daily vehicle checks, quarterly equipment calibration, site inductions, annual authorisations, task-led point of work risk assessments, safety observations and incident reporting
- Maintain a safe, orderly and clean working area, including vehicles, plant, site and workshops
- Support the craft person installing and maintaining electrical switchgear and transformers in accordance with the company's quality specifications and company processes.
- A CITB Level 1 in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment or equivalent course
- Trained and experienced in using manual handling techniques to load and unload materials
- Experience working with Low Voltage and High Voltage electrical system components, plant and equipment, with proven High Voltage jointing and fitting skills.

**Overtime is available with this role and there will be some weekend working required.**
