Network Team Leader

A global company require a **Network Team Leader** to assist in the lifecycle of new client services, from design and development, through to implementation and on-going support. You will develop a team of geographically spread network engineersto complete projects successfully and ensure best practices are sustained throughout the process. Reporting to the Network Manager, you will work with everyone from technical architects to senior managers on ensuring systems are delivered in line with businessobjectives.

**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervision of the Global Operations Network team and any strategic or HR responsibilities that may be required as part of the management of those teams.
- Ensure the team adhere to best practices whilst promoting teamwork and clear communication to achieve workload prioritisation
- Monitor, maintain and support to ensure assigned systems are delivered on time and within budget
- Responsible for undertaking performance management initiatives and assessment
- Manage and maintain assigned systems or services in production and pre-production environments
- Contribute to the technical strategy and procedures for the teams being managed and the wider IT function whilst ensuring team objectives are aligned with the business objectives
- Ensure the team can adequately support the systems within the Team’s control
- Ensure that the departmental and company processes are followed (e.g. change control process)
- Work with Solution Architects, Infrastructure Architects and Project Management to ensure that all designs are fit for purpose, supportable, and deliverable
- Take the lead on assigned Network projects ensuring they are well planned and delivered on time and within budget
- Contribute to the training and awareness of current and new staff
- Ensure that incidents, service requests, and changes assigned to the team are received and resolved within SLAs
- Attend meetings relating to the specification, implementation or operational on-boarding of new systems or services

**Skills, knowledge and experience**:

- Significant experience in an IT Network technical position
- Previous experience managing and leading a technical team
- Show a wider understanding across the ‘Infrastructure’ support landscape, including Cloud technologies
- Substantial experience fault finding in complex system and network infrastructures
- Proven track record of customer liaison and fault management with experience in a support and / or NOC environment
- Experience of working in an ITIL controlled environment.

- Cisco Branch and Edge Routers
- Cisco Datacentre, SAN fabric and Campus LAN Switches, including Nexus 5-7K
- Cisco Adaptive security and IDP appliances
- F5 Local and Global load-balancers
- Juniper (JUNOS) Firewalls
- Web Application or Next generation firewalls
