Tell me a bit more about the Liaison and Diversion/Through the Gate Service.
- Liaison and Diversion supports people who have been arrested and have support needs in the community.
- Through the Gate supports people who have been/are due to be released from HMP Norwich and have support needs in the community.
- The support is outreach support based in the Community.
- The service hours are; Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays, between the hours of 09:00-17:00.
- The service operates across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Tell me more about the job.
- Much of the role will be focussed on Through the Gate, working with individuals from across Norfolk and Suffolk who have been released/are due to be released from HMP Norwich.
- There will be times where you are expected to provide cover across Norfolk and Suffolk for the Liaison and Diversion pathway, working with individuals who have been arrested and taken to a Police Investigation Centre.
- A typical day within this role consists of visiting people in the community to provide a variety of support including, emotional support, support to access specialist services such as housing or financial services, social inclusion activities, signposting and supporting to engage in services in the community.
- You will be responsible for holding and managing a caseload.

As Recovery Co-Ordinator, you will be required to;
- To offer a creative, flexible approach, with the aim of providing a service that will reduce a client’s level of vulnerability, increase their

control over their life, and work with them towards a recovery that is meaningful to them.
- To provide support to people with mental health problems, enabling them to achieve their optimum level of independence.
- To work in partnership with service users, building on their strengths, enabling them to engage with services that would be beneficial to them in sustaining independence and achieving personal goals.
- To work with colleagues to provide a service to people with complex needs, including mental health and substance use problems, personality disorder and self-harm.

Important Information
- The ability to drive and access to a car for business use is essential.
- The service works with both adults and children therefore, you will be required to undertake an Enhanced with Barred List DBS check for both adults and children.
- You will be required to undertake Police Vetting to allow access to the Police Investigation Centres.
- You will be required to undertake Prison Vetting to allow access to HMP Norwich.
