**About us**
At Liberty Support Services we create and operate supported living services for people with learning disabilities, mental health support needs and acquired brain injuries.
**About You**
We are looking for someone with mental health experience and a keen interest in promoting independence. Someone who understands the effects that an enduring mental health condition can have on quality of life
- Have the ability to deal confidently with professionals from a wide range other agencies.
- Understand service users have a wide range of talents and interests and be willing to maximise opportunities for each of them to achieve their full potential using clearly identified outcomes for each individual
- Proactively seek out opportunities for positive connections within the community for service users - volunteering roles, community groups, classes and workshops, local events
- Organise in-house activities and events and actively encourage staff, service user and family participation.
- Have a positive attitude and a sense of fun
- Understand and value the importance of teamwork in provision of effective and consistent support
**Duties include but not limited to**:
- To support people with enduring mental health conditions to gain more control over their lives
- To support people within their own home/tenancy
- To maximise service user’s inclusion and participation within their own community
- To follow current statutory requirements and legislations
- To plan fun activities and games with the service users
- Supporting and encouraging service users with meal preparation and keeping their homes clean
- Observing self-medication
- To promote independence
- To assist and operate on the on-call duty system on a rotational basis with other senior members of staff
- To complete routine audits within the service under the guidance of the service manager
