IBMG has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an HR Apprentice based at our Business Support Centre in Polegate, East Sussex.

You will be enrolled into a twelve-month HR Support Apprenticeship Programme, gaining a Level 3 CIPD Qualification in partnership with the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF).

The HR Apprentice will support the handling of the day-to-day tasks within the HR Hub, providing an efficient and streamlined service to the business for all HR related administrative tasks. This role has a wide remit including input into all HR administration systems. Effective administrative support and strong organisational skills are vitally important to this position and to the smooth running of the HR department.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Learn to respond to employee enquiries and provide general HR-related information and guidance.
- Learn how to prepare employment contracts, addendum letters, employee relation letters/ note taking.
- Monitor the probation process; liaising with managers in relation to probation review dates and escalate any extensions to the relevant HR Administrator.
- Scanning and uploading of documents to maintain a reliable and up to date People HR system.
- Learn how to ensure the maintenance of employee records on People HR systems are accurate and up to date, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Learn how to produce reports for key stakeholders as requested.
- Assist in pre-employment checks and new starter processes.
- Assist with recruitment adverts.
- Ensure all Right to Work details are up to date.
- Assist in learning and development administrative support.
- Assist in liaison with Occupational Health and other third-party companies when requested.
- Support with the management of employee benefits payroll and pensions.

**Essential**
- GCSE English and Maths at grade A-C or equivalent
- Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to prioritise workload and consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to use Microsoft packages
- The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and in all circumstances

**The Hours**
- 30 Hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 9:30 - 15:30
