**Job Description**:
Job Introduction

At Skipton Building Society we believe at putting customers at the heart of all we do, and we pride ourselves on providing excellent service to our customers. Occasionally customers contact us during a difficult time in their lives, such as when they need to register a death, change their name or register a Power of Attorney, and it’s important that we ensure we process these changes correctly as well as treating customers with empathy and sensitivity.

This role in the Probate and Legal team involves supporting those customers in matters relating to the registration of legal documents including death registration, power of attorney, change of name and amendment to trusts.

What You’ll Be Doing

Within this role you will be answering telephone queries from customers with sensitivity and empathy, then actioning any changes to their account as a result of the conversation. Demonstrating great attention to detail, you will take responsibility for the registration of the appropriate legal documents within set timescales, checking all documents to ensure they are accurate and compliant. You will also work closely with external investment suppliers to notify them of any customer updates when needed.

What You’ll Bring
- Experience in a customer facing role (phone or face to face)
- Attention to detail at a high level
- Written & verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- To manage own workloads and meet set deadlines
- Knowledge of investments and the financial services industry is an advantage
