An exciting opportunity has arisen for a R&I Data Administrator to join the Research and Innovation team, based at Leicester General Hospital.

The role of the Research and Innovation Directorate is to establish and maintain an excellent platform for clinical research and research management within the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The Research and Innovation Directorate is led by a Clinical Director, Professor Nigel Brunskill who is supported by a Team that provides centralised management. The Core Team consists of an Chief Operations Officer, Deputy Chief Operations Officer, R&I Manager, Research Support Officers, Clinical Trials Monitor & Trainer, Data & Information Managers, contracts and Administrators.

The team work closely with all the Corporate Directorates and Clinical Management Groups across the Trust.

This is an important role within the existing team, focusing on the data administration of the Research and Innovation office.

The key purpose of this job is to support the R&I Office in a Data Administration role. The post-holder will facilitate research project registration and data processes.

The postholder will carry out data cleansing / verification exercises and ensure accurate data migration tasks are completed effectively. They will also act as the initial point of contact for communications to the R&I Directorate.

You will be based at Leicester General Hospital but will be expected to occasionally travel between all UHL sites.

About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (leicestershospitals.nhs.uk)
- To ensure that data recorded or edited on to the Trust research database (Edge) is accurate and recorded in a timely manner in accordance with office standard operating procedures and to the highest standards of data quality.
- To produce and manage accurate reports and presentation work as required in accordance with strict deadlines.
- Chasing, receiving and updating study team CVs and GCPs.
- Actioning and managing the RI Data mailbox.
- To assist in the processing of adverse event
- To monitor and order office equipment including equipment from the UHL Supplies team and IT.
- To carry out data cleansing / verification exercises and ensure accurate data migration tasks are completed effectively.
- To assist the members of the R&I Team on the management of paperwork through the research governance approval This will involve tasks such as photocopying, collation of submission documents, data entry onto databases as appropriate.
- To open all incoming post, log it onto the EDGE database, scanning documents on to the document store on the database as appropriate and distributing to the relevant member of R&I Office staff as required.
- To prioritise incoming paperwork, letters and documentation for the R&I Senior management team and R&I staff and R&I Team.
- To deal with relevant external agencies in a consistently professional manner, with consideration to Information Governance requirements.
- To carry out the administration for seminars (including training sessions) and workshops run by the R&I Office, liaising with other departments as necessary (e.g. Room bookings, IT, Catering), and managing the delegate booking.
- To organise and maintain an up-to-date filing system used in the R&I.
- To assist where required with the organising and arranging of meetings, venue booking, facilities and communication with delegates on behalf of the R&I Senior management team, R&I staff and R&I
