Maintenance Engineer

**Exciting opportunity to join a market-leading, Global industrial supply and engineering business carrying out Maintenance Engineering activity at a high profile gas cylinder filling facility.**
- **What is the role?**
- You will be a qualified and engaged technician whose primary role is to install, commission, maintain and repair plant equipment, but will undertake a variety of work across the disciplines, consistent with your competence
- You will carry out planned maintenance of plant equipment in accordance with scheduled work orders, minimizing disruption to site operations and diagnose faults and repair plant and equipment in response to breakdowns
- You will install and commission new plant and equipment, also monitor and supervise contractors, apprentices and trainees
- You will source and purchase parts, equipment and workshop materials (within Procurement policies)
- You will also participate as required in site and departmental activities including, but not limited to; Risk Assessments Planned general Inspections Problem solving and Improvement Groups Monitoring and assisting trainee staff Subgroups
- At times you will have to work on your own initiative and will be called upon to provide cover for the Maintenance Foreman/supervisor during holiday or busy periods. On occasions work is carried out without direct technical supervision
- You will normally work day hours during the week and will be expected to cover breakdown work out of hours or at weekends or at plant overhauls, whilst always working within companystandards and Policy’s applicable to the site you are working on.

- Whilst the role is multi-skilled we are ideally looking for a qualified Instrumentation engineer.
- Working with high-pressure gases, we are looking for proven experience of working with pumps (reciprocating), valves, compressors, motors, bearing drives etc as well as a lot of in-line instrumentation - pressure and temperature switches, pressure transducersetc all interfacing with PLC controls
