Marketing and Communications Executive

Location: Gateshead

**Salary**: £30k - £32k DOE
Office based

Are you an experienced and talented Marketing and Communications executive looking for a new and exciting challenge?

Our client is a leading software provider within the educational sector. Their highly structured and adaptive learning software is personalised to engage pupils of all ages, proven to be highly effective for individual development.
Based in Gateshead, the Marketing and Communication Executive will join an energetic and committed team of professionals dedicated to providing the very best in educational support within the UK. This is a stand-alone position reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and requires the ability to work independently with plenty of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities for the role of Marketing and Communications Executive:

- Coordinate projects across various departments using great team communication skills
- Ability to assess and analyse the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust and adapt as needed
- Manage research-based initiatives to incorporate into marketing strategy and deliver the findings to the senior management team with recommendations
- Highly organised to run assigned promotional events both in the field and online to promote the brand and expand the market share
- Effective management of the CRM with regular contact database maintenance and records
- Conducting research phone calls, using gathered data to feed back to the business to drive improvement
- Review, maintain and up-date promotional materials & website to an exceptional standard
- Ability to work with external agencies organising marketing, print jobs and specific events
- Keeping abreast of educational policy/practices and providing input into aligning company messaging
- Working with the American side of the business to adapt content for the UK market

Essential Requirements for the role of Marketing and Communications Executive:

- 3 years+ experience in a similar role
- Exceptional copywriting & proof-reading skills with strong written and verbal communication
- A clear and demonstrable understanding of multiple marketing disciplines
- Experience in writing effective marketing campaigns both written and face to face
- Proven track record of meeting assigned targets and deadlines
- Experience in coordinating projects across multiple teams
- Competent and confident in programs such as: WordPress, Adobe, Word, Excel, Marketing Automation Platforms (Wired Plus or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

- Competency in desktop publishing with graphical design skills
- Good knowledge of the Education Sector (policy, structure, funding, needs)
- Knowledge and experience of how children learn to read
- Good knowledge and understanding of data protection rules
